Meet the director
Most STEM professionals would agree that the most effective way to learn their profession is to work with experts…essentially as an apprentice learning a trade. The model of learning by apprenticeship has probably existed since the dawn of humanity with knowledge being handed down through generations by working with masters of the trade. With this time-proven method in mind, I would like you to keep this in the forefront of your thoughts when looking for fulfilling experiences while you advance through your career.
My chance to work with the NHAS is one of the most exciting opportunities in my career. As with other state Science Academies, we intend to be the main hub for STEM opportunities for our state and region. Our flagship outreach effort is our STEM research laboratory located on the campus of Crossroads Academy in Lyme NH. It will bring together students, teachers and STEM professionals using the apprenticeship method of helping all of our members become full-share partners in STEM professions.
